Political FAQ

..... War waged... mission accomplished... nothing found... conflict continues... underlying problem? Not resolved. Leaving...? Hundreds of soldiers and civilians dead. Reason for war justified? No one knows. What justification? 911? Maybe. 'Evil axis@ Regime'? Maybe. or WMDs...? Maybe. The guessing goes on. World Stability? On the rocks. Make it a double. Pressure mounts? Yes. Osama, the main cause for concern found? No. A government elect for Afghanistan? Maybe. Conflict resided in Afghan? No. Iraq defeated? Yes. Saddam found? Yes. Ba'ath separatists eliminated? No, Scattered in fact. War continues? Yes. Economic turmoil? Yes. Economic uncertainty? Yes. More innocent victims? Yes. Tension mounts? Yes. Dirty work left for the ever noble UN? YES. Involving? The world. Left by? B&B... under the pretext of 'coalition'. Safer place to live in? No. Nuclear warheads aimed at eact other? YES. What's next? Go ahead... give it your best shot.

I stumbled upon a few blogs recently on these issues and I cant help but notice how certain quarters can be so naive in their comments. The unprecedented truth is not known and probably wont be known for ages to come and yet, they can be so certain, dead sure that what the so-called 'coalition' did was right on! Yes... you might be right to think that Saddam wasnt on the right track and he might have shifted some of these 'proclaimed' WMDs to Syria... but who are they to think that they can launch a pre-empted strike against a country and still feel damn proud of it even though the root of the problem has not been solved? Yes... Afghanistan has been defeated... and yes... the 911 incident was a catastrophe beyond comprehension and these people should be brought to justice... but Osama is still running like a wild cat, regrouping as he goes along... uniting the Al-Qaeda network like no one's business... why? why are these people so infuriated with the Americans that they vow to take them on until their last breath? why not other countries? why is the hatred so deep? why must the actions of certain leaders bring religions around the world to a standstill? Crusade? Jihad? gimme a break!

Why does the most powerful nation in the world have military presence in the Gulf... and for that matter... around the world? What is it protecting? Peace? Resources? Why must they be so intimidating? ... Why don't they solve their own crimes and woes in their home counties before solving others? Imagine this... if other countries were to send their military forces into the coast surrounding the States, how would they feel? There you go...Of course, no one wants to see the likes of strangers taking aim at their country from far. The underlying cause is? Solve the freaking Palestinian-Isreali conflict and you'll see a better outcome! This conflict is about the 'people' and 'land' issue.... please dont' politicize religion and I am referring to both sides. Rid those SOB that do no want peace. Get to the root of the problem! <...to be continued...>

A Political Joke

As My. Kay, the former Head of Iraq Survey Group, was quoted saying, "...all that was ever going to be found in the search for WMD has already been discovered. And Iraq does not have stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons... " So, what next? This will be the question that baffles almost every living species on earth! Why Iraq? Why not the African nations which has been plagued by civil war and conflicts which seems never ending? What about the Kashmir region fighting which has gone on for God knows how long? ... and also the undisputable champion of all conflicts- the Palestinian and Israeli issue? If the U.S. and the U.K. wants to be the planet's one and only nobel policing force, why not resolve these issues? oh oh oh.... I see.... there's no oil in Congo... oh oh oh... I see... there's no oil in Kashmir... just mountains and valleys.... and oh oh oh... no oil or any natural resources in Palestine... only a barren land called the 'Holy Land'!

The Survey Group has been unsuccessful for months in its search for clear evidence of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons in Iraq and this was one of the Bush administration's main justifications for last year's war on Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party regime. The U.K. people was led to believe that these WMD could be deployed within 45 minutes... rubbish! bollocks! and the only thing these monkey faces (B&B) found was
a huge stockpile of oil waiting to be siphoned out to the States... poor Blair... and Downing Street has responded to Mr Kay's claims by calling for patience, adding: "There is still more work to be done, and we await that."... what work?? waiting for the U.S. to finish siphoning part of the oil to the U.K??? WTF??? Dumb Asses! ...

And before we know it, all corresponding pipelines will be diverted and headed towards the west coast leaving Iraq and the corresponding Central Asia high and dry with nothing left within the next 20 years or so. By then, the States will pack their bags and wave goodbye... thanking their engineers and their forces for a job well done in keeping peace and rebuilding the country + be thankful that the U.S. was there in times of need... and then eventually set out for another plan to initiate another target for attack... ooops... left the word out... 'with resources in abundance'. The U.S lives happily ever after... and I repeat... without the mention of the so called "coalition'...

I am neither a political analyst nor a political advocate of any country... but common sense will tell us that the plot is obvious. You judge these for yourselves.

3 on the Trot

Yay!!... 3 on the trot for Liverpool... and hopefully more to come. The most important thing is to get back on track for that elusive place for Champions League and Chairman Moores... You'll have my support! Rumours had it that O'Neill would be filling in Houlliers' place but I dont give a fuck... Whoever produces the goods... he's the man but Houllier... You'll Never Walk Alone! so far so good... tacticians at work with messy wins... some say fortunate wins but who gives a fuck... a win is a win and that's 3 points in the bag!

Three more full weeks and my fate is sealed. Due date for dissertation is looming and the countdown begins. Fuck.... why am I reminding myself??? .....

The Beginning is the End is the Beginning

Norah Jones fills the air... its raining out there on New Years Day... miserable? Perhaps.... but its really funny how we revel on and on even though its just the passing of a new dawn... and more so... with a sense of renewed hope that things might just get better this year in 2004. The word 'might' sits on the fence between the uncertainties and would be's. Why do we hope for hope when hoping is a nomenclature for reverie. We ask ourselves questions every single day hoping to find an answer to the unknowns and uncertainties. Have we? We watch the news every single day to find lives lost, conflicts, catastrophes... has the world found a solution to it? Then how are we suppose to contain our hope when there is actually no hope beyond the subset?

How do some people actually take it so easy in their lives? Have they found an answer to their 'hopes'? But in actual fact, there is still no answer to 'hope' as this term is too generic. We wake up everyday hoping to find an answer to our questions no matter how we deny it. Probably being ignorant towards it will help in some ways... but we'll keep hoping for that dream hope. So far, I am still hoping, I am still part of the subset like everyone else... wondering to ourselves each and every single day... and today, the break of a new dawn brings a new beginning. My hope...
